Who am I and What I do

Wema Bank Plc

System Administrator

As an integral part of the Wema Bank Infrastructure team, I worked as a System Administrator for more than 3 years helping to build and setup systems and servers in data centers and implementing virtualization. In my time as a system administrator, I was responsible for ensuring constant up-time of on-premises server infrastructures and ensured proper resynchronization and replication of virtual machines for backup and disaster recovery purpose. I also conducted routine system updates, patches, and security audits to ensure a secure and up-to-date infrastructure for a multi-platform environment consisting of both windows and Linux operating systems.

Irembo

DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, I started with cultivating the DevOps culture when I joined Irembo. I began working on projects that shifted my knowledge from the traditional monolith to agile implementation and assisting to automate processes from end-to-end. Right from Building the code (CI) to deploying it to different enviornments (CD). Then, I also learnt the creation of infrastructure with the help of code (IAC).

SLS Energy

DevOps Engineer

With the years spent in working as a system administrator and DevOps in my previous roles, I have gained knowlege of cloud service providers like Microsoft Azure and AWS, and have a thorough understanding of CI and CD processes. With these knowledge, I spearheaded the migration of SLS monitoring platform infrastructure to Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (AWS EKS), optimizing resource utilization, application availability and performance.
